How to change the size of the Static partitions in Linux

$sudo e2fsck -f <device-name>
$resize2fs  <device-name> <desired-size> 

Note: We cannot provide the storage more the size of the drive

$sudo mount <device-name> <direc>

Warning: Let if your device is 100% full and you decreases the size to 70% your 30% data will be wiped out . So before resizing it is good to see the free space left in the drive.
